In 2020, a new KofC Supreme policy required that local councils that managed corporations to own and operate halls sign an agreement. It stipulated that, if such corporations sold their hall, they (1) would have 3 years to purchase or construct another hall or (2) they would liquidate their assets and transfer all monies to the parent council.
Gilmour, Inc. established a charitable endowment, which has already donated over $117,000 to parishes and other charities. In 2023 the corporation constructed a storage building on the grounds of St Paschal Baylon parish, and the balance of the corporation’s assets have been liquidated. The corporation should be disbanded by the end of Gilmour, Inc.’s current fiscal year, August 31, 2025. The terms of all directors have been extended until the corporation is closed.
